Additional Guidelines and Recommendations

• Hardware used to secure the suspending elements to the swing seat and to the supporting structure is not removable without the use of tools.
• Fiber ropes may degrade over time and are not recommended for swings.
• Swings are suspended from structures that discourage climbing.
• A-frame support structures don’t have horizontal bars.
• Swings are regularly inspected to ensure all S-hooks remain closed and the swings remain in good repair.
• All issues identified during maintenance inspections are addressed and both the inspections and actions taken are documented.
