Hand Washing & Restrooms Walkthrough

Proper hand washing and adequate restroom facilities are important when visiting an agricultural site. In addition to naturally occurring dust and dirt, farms and ranches may also have pathogens present that can lead to illness. Allergens in dust, animal dander and pollen may also be present. The following guidelines may help decrease health risks related to hygiene.

The “walkthrough” that follows will encompass some general handwashing and restroom guidelines, and also provide links to useful resources.

Walkthroughs

A "Walkthrough" refers to "walking through" or looking through a series of pictures, and deciding if they show hazards and/or safety items, or if safety items are lacking. After evaluating the pictures and giving an answer, a correction will appear with additional guidelines, recommendations and resources.
