Additional Guidelines and Recommendations

• If possible, barriers or textured surfaces are added to play equipment to prevent climbing on the outside of equipment not intended for child use (e.g. outside of tube slides).
• Children are prevented from standing on swings or swinging “on their bellies”.
• Adequate adult supervision is provided, and supervisors ensure all play equipment is used as intended.^1,2,3
